Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renan Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boshtok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boshtok comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Killing In The Name Of kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boshtok throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A left lands for Melo.
Boshtok throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Melo drives through and clinches with Boshtok against the cage.

Melo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Boshtok really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boshtok gets to his feet and stands over Melo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Melo felt that one! Boshtok unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Melo from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Boshtok!
