The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green swings for the body but Bakiyev moves out of range.

Green keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bakiyev's head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Green accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toktogulovich Bakiyev dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bakiyev is in a horrible position here. Green smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Green jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bakiyev manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Green lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bakiyev is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Green asserts his dominance and retains side control.

We've been hearing good reports from Green's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
