Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Landen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasper Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Landen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kasper Koltun!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landen misses the shot to the body.
Landen looks for the body kick but Koltun saw that one coming.

Koltun is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Landen is pressing down on Koltun's thigh, looking to free his foot. Koltun is holding on for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Landen is working hard here to advance position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

so Landen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Landen wants to control from the top but Koltun keeps moving.

Landen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koltun is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Landen won't allow Koltun to sweep him here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Koltun tries to bum rush Landen with a series of wild strikes but Landen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Koltun throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Landen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Landen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Paul Landen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koltun takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Koltun throws a hook to the side of Landen's head but Landen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Koltun swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Koltun, as that shot connected.
The fighters circle momentarily. Landen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Landen.

Landen laying and praying for a moment but Koltun takes advantage and regains half guard.
Koltun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Landen is working away from the top position though.
Landen is looking to take a break and control but Koltun is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Landen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Koltun has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Koltun!

Landen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koltun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koltun manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paul Landen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Landen controls Koltun momentarily but Koltun frees himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Landen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Koltun holds on and takes a little breather.
Koltun manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Landen manages to get himself to full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Landen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
