And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Omari Akhmedov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Akhmedov with the counter takedown but Ow avoids it easily.
Ow throws a combination that misses
and Akhmedov counters with a left and a right that stings Ow.
Akhmedov avoids the body shot from Ow.
Akhmedov avoids the body shot from Ow.
Akhmedov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ow throws a lazy head kick

and Akhmedov counters with a takedown into side control.
Ow is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Akhmedov is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Akhmedov tries to control but Ow wriggling away.
Ow wants to hold on but Akhmedov pushes him away.

Akhmedov prevents Ow from getting the reversal.
Akhmedov wants to control the pace but Ow is squirming around nicely.

Ow won't allow Akhmedov to pass to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Ow wants to control the action here but instead Akhmedov manages to pass to full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Akhmedov goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ow turns into him and now he's in Akhmedov's guard.
Akhmedov can't keep his opponent in guard - Ow advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ow prevents Akhmedov from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ow is working for a kimura but Akhmedov is defending it quite comfortably.
Ow works his way into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Akhmedov counters with a shoot takedown. Ow fights it but they end up in guard.

Akhmedov is looking to take a break and control but Ow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ow is pressing down on Akhmedov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Akhmedov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Akhmedov wants to control from the top but Ow keeps moving.
Omari Akhmedov has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ow looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Akhmedov stays in close to Ow's body and controls the position.

Ow is looking for a triangle here but Akhmedov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ow tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Akhmedov wants to control but Ow is keeping him busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Akhmedov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ow haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ow throws a sloppy head kick
and Ow takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ow throws a body kick that misses
and Akhmedov counters with a stiff right hand.
Bang Ding Ow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ow misses the body punch
letting Akhmedov counter with a right hand.
Ow throws a lazy head kick
and Akhmedov counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ow lands a big head kick that sends Akhmedov tumbling to the mat! Ow takes a step backwards and waves Akhmedov back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ow lands a big head kick that sends Akhmedov to the canvas! Ow follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bang Ding Ow!
During a confident post fight interview, Bang Ding Ow thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
