PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Fadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Layser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fadden comes to the cage accompanied by Cowboys From Hell by PANTERA. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fadden lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Layser at a distance.
Fadden throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Layser.
Layser feints the counter takedown.
Layser throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fadden looks to land a right hand but Layser moved out of range.
Fadden misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Layser misses the jab.
Fadden bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Layser's head backwards.
Layser steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fadden.
Layser shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fadden as he avoids it easily.
Fadden takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Layser on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fadden slips under a jab.
Fadden misses with a double jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fadden fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Layser checks it well.
Fadden scores with a nice right hand.

Fadden drops Layser with a beautiful combination! Layser stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fadden is looking for the KO!
Layser slips a jab and a cross from Fadden.
Layser throws a nice looking combination but Fadden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fadden lands with a big left! Layser is wobbled badly! Fadden comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Layser to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
