Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Carlyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerry Khan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a sloppy head kick and Carlyle moves out of range easily.
Carlyle throws a push kick but Khan slaps the foot to one side.
Khan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Carlyle looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Khan misses with a low kick.
Carlyle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Khan.
Khan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Carlyle counters with a nice uppercut.
Carlyle slips under a jab.
An attempted straight right counter from Carlyle misses the target.
Khan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Khan throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Carlyle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carlyle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Khan swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Carlyle counters with a straight right hand.


Khan is rocked!
Carlyle feints and then cracks Khan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Khan down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carlyle uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khan.

Khan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Khan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Khan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Carlyle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Carlyle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice defenses there by Carlyle.
Carlyle gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Khan.
Khan scores with a sloppy right hand. Carlyle should have avoided that one.
Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carlyle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carlyle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Khan.
Carlyle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khan manages to avoid it.
Khan throws a head kick that misses.
Carlyle tries to clinch but Khan moves out of range.
Khan looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Khan thuds a left hand into Carlyle's body.

and Carlyle counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Carlyle on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Carlyle sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Carlyle throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Khan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Carlyle is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Carlyle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Carlyle ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Khan throws a head kick but Carlyle moves out of range.
Carlyle thuds his right hand into Khan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Gerry Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carlyle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A decent looking cross lands there for Khan.

A swing and a miss from Carlyle.
Khan lands with a straight right. Carlyle didn't see that one coming.
Carlyle goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Khan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carlyle.
As Khan tries to get set, Carlyle tries to push him back and clinch up but Khan manages to avoid the attempt.

Khan throws out a leg kick but Carlyle moves out of range and Khan only half commits.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Good exchange - Carlyle coming out on top.
Khan slips under a jab from Carlyle.
Khan connects with a solid leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khan throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Carlyle to counter with a crisp jab.
Khan is still on wobbly legs! Can Carlyle finish him?
Khan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Khan seems to have recovered his senses.
Khan lands a nice looking body shot.

Carlyle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gerry Khan will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Whack! Carlyle lands a heavy head kick that drops Khan. The ref tackles Carlyle to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Khan was done.
