The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banana lands a nice hook to Van Der Sar 's body. Van Der Sar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Banana misses the jab.
Van Der Sar tries to move into range but Banana moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Banana throws an overhand right that lands on Van Der Sar 's shoulder, as Van Der Sar tries to avoid the shot.

Van Der Sar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banana clobbers Van Der Sar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Banana misses with a shot to the body
and Van Der Sar makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Banana really felt that one!
Van Der Sar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Banana.

Banana drives through and clinches with Van Der Sar against the ropes.

Banana breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Van Der Sar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looks like Jay Rome Banana has been cut.
Banana swings for the body but Van Der Sar moves out of range.
Banana ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Banana definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Van Der Sar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Banana.

Jay Rome Banana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banana throws a sloppy head kick
and Van Der Sar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Van Der Sar checks a low kick from Banana.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Banana sizes up Van Der Sar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Van Der Sar counters with a head kick. That will keep Banana thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Banana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Banana throws a shot from downtown. Van Der Sar moves away and avoids it.
Van Der Sar blocks a head kick by Banana.
Banana lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Van Der Sar at a distance.
Banana throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Van Der Sar counters with a body kick that stops Banana in his tracks momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Van Der Sar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Banana.

Banana misses with a left hand
and as Banana resets, Van Der Sar pounces with a savage head kick that drops Banana to the mat! Banana looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!
Banana is rocked!
Van Der Sar on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Banana. Banana obviously looking to wear him down.
Banana rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Van Der Sar counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Banana misses with a right hand
and as Banana tries to get back out of range, Van Der Sar steps forwards and cracks Banana with a beautiful high kick! Banana goes down! Oh, he's out! He's out cold! No need for a referee count here - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Stefan Van Der Sar !
