Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Callaghan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bam Margera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Margera is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slacker. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 17 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Callaghan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Bam Margera!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Margera misses with a looping right.
Margera staying out of range there.
A punch combination from Callaghan misses.
Margera avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Margera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Callaghan's waist but Callaghan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Margera off to one side.
Callaghan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Margera throws a right and a left that both miss.
Margera throws a combination that misses
and Callaghan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Margera thows a leg kick but Callaghan checks it
and Callaghan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Callaghan lands a big head kick that sends Margera tumbling to the mat! Callaghan takes a step backwards and waves Margera back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Margera is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Margera tries for a takedown but Callaghan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Margera seems to have recovered his senses.
We've been told by Callaghan's head coaches at Hey Steve's Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A telegraphed right hand from Callaghan misses the target.
Callaghan misses with a hook. Margera ducked under it nicely.
Margera closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Margera looks to land a left hand but Callaghan moved out of range nicely.

so Margera counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Margera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Callaghan looking to sit in guard and control but Margera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Callaghan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Margera lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Callaghan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Margera throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Margera has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Callaghan wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Callaghan closes the distance but Margera moves to the side
and Margera counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Callaghan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Callaghan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Margera paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Callaghan throws a jab when Margera was well out of range.
A right-left combo lands from Margera.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Callaghan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Oooooh!!! Margera has knocked Callaghan down with a huge combo! Margera steps away and waves a wobbly Callaghan back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Callaghan is rocked!
Margera shoots in and drives through. Callaghan sprawls well.
Oh Callaghan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Margera drops Callaghan with a straight right hand, right on the button! Margera follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bam Margera!
Bam Margera is the new welterweight champion!
A relieved looking Bam Margera thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
