Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Oketch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cooter Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Titties and Beer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Oketch!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cooter Brown!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oketch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brown.
Brown has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Oketch slips a straight right by Brown.
Brown misses with a hook
and Oketch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Cooter Brown has been cut.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt
and Oketch counters with a thumping low kick.
Oketch throws a jab when Brown was well out of range.
Oketch takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Brown misses the jab.
Cooter Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oketch moves out of range of the strikes.
Brown ducks under a wild hook from Oketch.

Brown throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oketch was covering up waiting for the punch and Brown finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Oketch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oketch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Oketch is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.

Brown avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Oketch keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass.
Brown wants to control from the top but Oketch keeps moving.
Brown controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Oketch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Oketch looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Brown is defending well. Oketch quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Brown has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Oketch celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Vincent Oketch!
