Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Crosher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Crosher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor Rice!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crosher cracks Rice with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Crosher. Rice does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rice throws a nice looking combination but Crosher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Crosher lands a right hook to the body.
Crosher misses with a body shot.
Crosher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rice shoots in and gets a takedown into Crosher's guard.
Rice postures up in Crosher's guard and throws a big left but Crosher blocks it.
Rice won't allow Crosher to get back to his feet.
Rice trying to control the position from guard on top but Crosher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crosher wants to stand but Rice is controlling the position.
Rice is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Rice wants to control from the top but Crosher keeps moving.
Crosher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Crosher manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Crosher tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Rice tries to pull guard but Crosher holds him up against the cage and eventually Rice drops back down to his feet.
Rice is trying to break free.

Crosher breaks from the clinch.
Rice uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crosher.
Crosher takes a swing at Rice's ribcage but misses.

Rice moves to clinch but Crosher breaks away
and Crosher counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Crosher moves out of range of the body kick.
Rice throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rice ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crosher moves away.
Crosher looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Crosher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Crosher defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rice.
Nice body punch from Crosher.
Rice tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Crosher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rice tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crosher swivels and escapes.
Matt Crosher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Rice.

Rice looks winded!
Rice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crosher just misses with a punch to the body.
Rice looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rice shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Crosher napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Rice tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rice has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Crosher is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Crosher dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Crosher defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rice.
Crosher moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Connor Rice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rice wants to clinch
and Crosher counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rice thinking.

Rice dives in for a single leg takedown but Crosher sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Crosher fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rice ducks under a wild hook from Crosher.

Rice fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Crosher to the ground. Rice is now in Crosher's guard.
Crosher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rice on the ground.
Rice throws a big right hand that misses.
Rice not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Crosher wants to stand but Rice is controlling the position.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Crosher manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Crosher manages to break the clinch.
Rice tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crosher sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rice somewhat.

Crosher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rice manages to avoid it.
Rice throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rice misses with the combination.
Rice is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rice moves in looking to clinch but Crosher pushes him off.
Rice closes the distance and clinches up with Crosher, looking for a takedown. Rice pushes Crosher against the cage but Crosher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Crosher counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Crosher tries to bum rush Rice with a series of wild strikes but Rice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Rice tries for a takedown but Crosher circles away easily
and Rice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Crosher pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rice back to the cage. Crosher follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Crosher connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rice. Rice circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rice takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Rice has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Crosher finds it's way round the side to connect with Rice's head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Rice throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Crosher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rice is in Crosher's guard.

Crosher kicks Rice off and gets to his feet.
Crosher avoids the head kick by Rice.
Crosher thuds a left hand into Rice's body.
Crosher goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Crosher dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Crosher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rice manages to avoid it.

Crosher throws a body punch but Rice moves out of range.
Rice has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rice there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rice walks into a straight right hand from Crosher.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rice takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Crosher looks to score with a jab to the body but Rice is just out of range.
Crosher just misses with a punch to the body.
Rice tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Crosher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rice goes for a double leg but Crosher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Crosher continues to drive forward.

Crosher lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rice backwards.

Rice shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crosher as he avoids it easily.

Rice takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crosher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
