Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Hurst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Hands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Demarcus Hurst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hammer Hands!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurst avoids the body shot from Hands.
Hands misses with a series of wild punches.

Hands has Hurst up against the cage in a clinch.
Hands has a couple of punches blocked by Hurst.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hands.
Hands tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hurst keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hands's efforts to push away.
Hands taking a breather.

Hands manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hands misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hands just misses with a punch to the body.
Hands connects with a right hand. Hurst shakes it off.
Hands throws a body punch but Hurst moves out of range.
Hands looks to throw the jab but Hurst is out of range.

Hurst defending well as Hands loads up on a big left hand.
Hands tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hurst is able to avoid easily.
Hurst looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nice straight punches there by Hands. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hands.
Hurst moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hands swings widly with a right hand

and Hurst counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Hurst gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hands throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hurst shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hands but Hands pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice cross by Hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hands wants to clinch up but Hurst keeps it at a distance.
Hands walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hurst checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hands misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hurst.

Hands doesn't manage to clinch there - Hurst circles away.
Hands throws a series of punches but Hurst moves out of range.
Hands looks winded!
Hands tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hurst was well out of range. Poor timing from Hands.
Hands tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hurst swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hurst keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Hands misses with a knee strike.
Hurst fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hurst looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demarcus Hurst. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hands pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hurst.
Hands tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hurst really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A right-left combo lands from Hands.
Hurst looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hands is fending him off so far but Hurst persists. Nope, Hands circles away and we're back to standing.
Hands displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hurst.
Hurst shoots in looking for a takedown but Hands manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hurst's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hands takes the fight into the clinch.

Hurst has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hands uses from the top position.
Hurst is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hands is controlling him.
Hurst is trying to keep Hands in close.

Hurst has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hands is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Hurst wants a takedown.

Hands manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hands defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hurst.

Hands scores with the left hand. Hurst knows he should have avoided that one.

Hammer Hands dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hands lands with a hook. Hurst tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Hands doesn't manage to clinch there - Hurst circles away.

Hurst misses with a takedown attempt - Hands sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hands does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Hands scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Hands scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hands is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hurst slips under a jab.
Oh Hurst is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hands tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hurst manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice defenses there by Hurst.
Hands throws a head kick but Hurst moves out of range.
Hands tries to bum rush Hurst with a series of wild strikes but Hurst uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hurst moves away from the strike by Hands.

Hurst seems to have got his legs back now.
Demarcus Hurst is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hurst closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hurst is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hurst is working Hands over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hands avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hurst.
Hands seems a little lost for a moment, as Hurst dominates the positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Hammer Hands will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hurst jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hands walks away with a smile on his face. Hurst gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hands throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hands looks to throw the jab but Hurst is out of range.
Hands takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hurst closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hands keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Hurst decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Nice takedown defense from Hands. No joy for Hurst on that attempt.
Hammer Hands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hands will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hurst goes for a double leg but Hands avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hands continues to drive forward.

Hurst closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hands did well to prevent Hurst getting side control.

Hurst decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Hands dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hurst.
Hands tries to work over Hurst's front leg with a kick but Hurst checks it.
Hands misses with a combination

and Hurst counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Hurst is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hands trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Hurst manages to pass to mount!
Hurst will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hands tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hurst is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Hurst is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hands can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hurst sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Demarcus Hurst has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hammer Hands is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hurst with shots to the head and body - Hands looks very uncomfortable down there.

Demarcus Hurst showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hands has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
