Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Opdauhl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chryst Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gary Opdauhl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chryst Halo!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo misses with a double jab.
Halo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Opdauhl back to the cage. Halo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Halo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gary Opdauhl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Halo connects with a body shot that sends Opdauhl's belly button to the back.
Halo throws a nice looking combination but Opdauhl bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Opdauhl attempts a counter takedown but Halo avoids it well and moves away.
Opdauhl throws out a leg kick but Halo moves out of range and Opdauhl only half commits.

Halo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Halo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Opdauhl moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Opdauhl has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Halo enables Opdauhl to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Halo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Halo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chryst Halo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Halo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Halo has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

I've got Halo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
