The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doan connects with a body shot that sends Hashirama's belly button to the back.
Doan throws a combination that misses
and Hashirama cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Doan stalks Hashirama and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hashirama's face. Hashirama staggers backwards, shaken.
Hashirama tries to clinch but Doan is having none of it.
Doan wants to clinch.
Doan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Doan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hashirama circles away quickly and effectively.
Hashirama throws a right and a left that Doan avoids nicely.
Doan fails to land the takedown.
Hashirama walks into a jab.
Hashirama avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hashirama really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hashirama throws a body punch but Doan moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Hashirama.
Hashirama swats away the attempt to clinch by Doan.
Doan looks to land a right hand but Hashirama moved out of range.

Doan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hashirama swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doan connects with a looping right hand.
Doan misses with an uppercut.
Doan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hashirama was well out of range. Poor timing from Doan.
Doan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hashirama's head.

Hashirama takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Doan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hashirama tries to land a front kick but Doan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Hashirama darts in and clinches Doan up against the cage.
Doan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Hashirama's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Doan lands with a shot to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hashirama gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Doan's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Doan measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Hashirama! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
