Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Listerine Care (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keith Hunt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Care shoots in looking for a takedown but Hunt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Care's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Care could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hunt closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Care did well to prevent Hunt getting side control.
Care tries to kick Hunt off but Hunt keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hunt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Hunt tries to pass to full mount but Care defends it.

Care has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hunt is on him like a limpet, forcing Care back against the cage.

Care won't allow Hunt to get back to his feet.

Care postures up in Hunt's guard and throws a big left but Hunt blocks it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hunt avoids the body shot from Care.
Care stalks Hunt and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hunt's face. Hunt staggers backwards, shaken.
Hunt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hunt misses with a body kick.
Hunt on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Hunt clinches up with Care and pushes him back against the cage.

Care pulls guard effortlessly.

Care scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Care.
Good exchange - Care coming out on top.
Care shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hunt defends it nicely.

Care slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Care fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Listerine Care. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Care's corner calls for a 1-2. Care obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Hunt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Care on his heels. He'll look to pass Care's guard now, I'm sure.

Care pushes Hunt off and scrambles back to his feet.
Care tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hunt defends well and Care ends up having to push Hunt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Care is working for takedown but Hunt is calmly controlling the position for now.

Hunt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Care fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Care is breathing heavily.
Hunt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Care manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Care lands with a straight right. Hunt didn't see that one coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Care tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunt was well out of range. Poor timing from Care.

Hunt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Care tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hunt is in Care's guard.

Care utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hunt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Care.

Care changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hunt tries to avoid it but Care manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hunt to the ground. Hunt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Care is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Care is wriggling around but Hunt manages to pass to half guard.
Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Care. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hunt moves in looking to clinch but Care pushes him off.

Care misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Care shoots in for a takedown but Hunt shows good takedown defense.
Listerine Care is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hunt slips a jab and a cross from Care.
Care swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hunt counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Care is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Hunt has picked Care up - he's going for a ride! Hunt dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Hunt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Care's head.

Care is refusing to be controlled, as Hunt sits in half guard.
Hunt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Care is trying to stand back up but Hunt is controlling him

Care looks like he's trying to stand up.

Care goes for a double leg but Hunt avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hunt continues to drive forward.

Hunt looks for the body kick but Care saw that one coming.
Care dives in and grabs Hunt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hunt pushes down on Care's head and hops out.
Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Care swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Care throws a body punch but Hunt moves out of range.

Care pushes Hunt off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Hunt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Care swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice defenses there by Hunt.

Hunt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hunt lands in his opponent's guard.
Hunt is standing up over Care. Care looks to escape but Hunt dives into side control.

Hunt prevents Care from escaping the position.

Care sneaks out the side door and pushes Hunt away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Hunt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hunt showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
