PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Conte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Koski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Accept - Head Over Heels. Giorgio Conte is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giorgio Conte!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Conte takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Conte jabs Koski to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Conte, right into the meat.
Conte tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Conte thuds a left hand into Koski's body.
Koski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Conte scores with the left hand. Koski knows he should have avoided that one.
Koski blocks a low kick nicely.
Koski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Koski throws a looping overhand right but Conte ducks down to avoid it.
Conte works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Conte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Koski was well out of range. Poor timing from Conte.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Conte connects with a solid leg kick.
Koski scores with a crisp jab that stopped Conte in his tracks.

Conte pushes Koski up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Koski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Conte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Koski was well out of range. Poor timing from Conte.
Conte lands a nice hook to Koski's body. Koski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Koski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Conte throws out the jab.
Conte ducks right into an uppercut from Koski.
Conte swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Koski throws a low kick but it's checked well by Conte.
Koski on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Conte. Conte obviously looking to wear him down.
A slow jab from Conte misses its intended target.
Giorgio Conte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koski connects with a solid leg kick.
Koski blocks a jab.
Conte sizes up Koski with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Conte ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Conte walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Koski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koski looks to land a left hand but Conte moved out of range nicely.
Conte slips a straight right by Koski.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Conte moves away from the strike by Koski.
Conte misses with a straight left.
Koski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Koski lands a head shot.
Conte gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Koski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Koski postures up in Conte's guard and throws a big left but Conte blocks it.
Conte is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Koski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Conte works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Koski is looking to advance position but Conte has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Conte controlling the pace for now.
Koski is in all sorts of trouble here.

Conte stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Koski avoids a kick to the body.
Koski missing with a left hand there. Conte was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Conte tries to clinch up but Koski circles away and keeps his distance.
Conte scores with a nice strike.


It looks like Juan Koski has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Koski lands an impressive looking overhand right. Conte doesn't seem phased though.
Nice cross by Conte.
Koski misses with a straight left.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Conte walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Koski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Koski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Koski throws a leg kick which misses Conte's front leg but catches the back leg as Conte tries to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Conte.
Conte stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Koski misses with a left hand
and Conte counters with an inside leg kick.
Conte avoids the head kick by Koski.
Koski throws a leg kick but Conte moved away.
Conte misses with a few strikes there.
Conte is looking to clinch but Koski is avoiding it.
Koski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Koski throws a push kick but Conte slaps the foot to one side.
Koski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Conte.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Giorgio Conte will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Juan Koski's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A nice combination there by Conte.
Conte thows a left - swing and a miss!
Koski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Koski throws a hook to the side of Conte's head but Conte sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Conte - that will leave a mark!
Conte is looking to score with low kicks.
Conte misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Koski.
Conte scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Koski lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Conte throws a body punch but Koski moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Conte throws a shot from downtown. Koski moves away and avoids it.
Koski tests Conte's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Conte is rocked!
Koski lands a jab to the nose.
Conte is still on wobbly legs! Can Koski finish him?
Giorgio Conte is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koski drops Conte with a straight right hand, right on the button! Koski follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan Koski!
A very excited looking Juan Koski rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
