The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy lands an overhand right.

Growler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kennedy sprawls well initially but Growler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kennedy lands a left and a right that send Growler crashing to the mat, dazed. Kennedy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kennedy lands a nice hook to Growler's body. Growler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kennedy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Growler - the referee stops the clock and Kennedy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Growler. Kennedy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
