Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roger Brookestone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alasdair Thacker!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brookestone works Thacker's body with a nice hook.
Thacker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brookestone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Thacker will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Brookestone up against the cage.
Brookestone is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Thacker's coach down at Nonstop Intensity was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thacker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Thacker digs a right hand into Brookestone's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Brookestone's gas tank.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Thacker.
Brookestone blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Thacker throws an elbow that misses.
Thacker lands a left hand that snaps the head of Brookestone backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thacker on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Nice body punch from Thacker - that landed with a thud.
Brookestone is trying to push Thacker away but Thacker has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Brookestone tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Thacker just leaning against Brookestone, taking a breather.

Thacker pushes Brookestone back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short body shot lands from Thacker as the two fighters clinch.
Thacker is pressed up against the cage. Brookestone has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thacker down to the mat. Thacker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Thacker lands a slapping body shot.
Brookestone is breathing heavily.

Thacker gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Brookestone breaks from the clinch.

Thacker lands a big right hand that sends Brookestone crashing to the mat! Thacker stays standing though and waves Brookestone back to his feet!


Brookestone is rocked!


It looks like Roger Brookestone has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Thacker closes the distance and pushes Brookestone back into the cage.
Oh Brookestone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brookestone misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Thacker.
Thacker lands a nice uppercut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Thacker.
Thacker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brookestone has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Thacker stalling in the clinch.
Thacker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Brookestones head.
Thacker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A short right from Thacker on the inside.
Brookestone definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Thacker working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Thacker manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Thacker continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Thacker creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Brookestone's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Brookestone drops to his knees and Thacker pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alasdair Thacker!
Alasdair Thacker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
