Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tifau Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Rexar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rexar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Big Shit Poppin'. Tyler Rexar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rexar has closed the distance and engaged Oliveira in a clinch.
Rexar with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Rexar manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Oliveira.

Rexar instigates a clinch.
Rexar scores with a shot to the side of Oliveira's head.

Rexar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rexar keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rexar blocks a body shot from Oliveira.

Rexar gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Rexar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Oliveira's head.

Rexar is pressing down on Oliveira's thigh, looking to free his foot. Oliveira is holding on for now.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Oliveira is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rexar wants to pass to mount but Oliveira is defending the position.

Rexar loads up on a big left hand. Oliveira felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rexar looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Oliveira can't hide his disappointment, as Rexar celebrates the victory.
