Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ray Chan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Black!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Black to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Black wants to control from the top but Chan keeps moving.
Black pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chan is keeping the position for now.
Black throwing strikes but missing.
Black trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Black postures up and lands a big shot to Chan's brow.
Black lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Black connects with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Chan trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Black trying to control but Chan is working from the bottom.
Chan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Black is one step ahead there.

Black with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Black showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Black wants to pass the guard but Chan is keeping the position.
Black loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Black throwing strikes but missing.
Chan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Black lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Black is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Black working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Black lands a couple of digs.
Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chan keeping full guard, as Black tries to pass.
Black is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.


Chan is rocked!
Black with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Oh Chan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Black gets to his feet and stands over Chan, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Chan felt that one! Black unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Chan from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Black!
