Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Georgy Fokin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ruden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Georgy Fokin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fokin moves away.
Ruden misses with a looping left.
A telegraphed right hand from Fokin misses the target.

It looks like Georgy Fokin has been cut.
Ruden waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fokin.
Ruden jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ruden moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fokin shoots for a double leg takedown but Ruden sprawls well. He's pushed Fokin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fokin slips a straight right by Ruden.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruden connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fokin momentarily.
Ruden misses with a wild body shot.
Ruden throws an overhand right that lands on Fokin's shoulder, as Fokin tries to avoid the shot.

Fokin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ruden did well to prevent Fokin getting side control.

Ruden tries to get to full guard but Fokin has control of the leg.
Ruden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fokin is working away from the top position though.
Fokin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ruden knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ruden is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fokin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fokin's back!

Fokin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Ruden tries to keep control of the position but Fokin is staying busy.
Ruden doesn't have the hooks in and Fokin manages to turn into his guard.

Ruden wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Fokin wants to take a breather but Ruden is having none of it.

Fokin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Fokin wants to control from the top but Ruden keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fokin lands a nice shot to the body.
Fokin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fokin checks a low kick from Ruden.
Fokin closes the distance and clinches up with Ruden, looking for a takedown. Fokin pushes Ruden against the cage but Ruden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fokin clobbers Ruden with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fokin tries to clinch but Ruden is having none of it.
Fokin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ruden.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Georgy Fokin will probably get the nod.

Fokin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ruden sprawls and moves away.
Fokin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fokin leaves Ruden with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ruden shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Fokin seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Fokin stuns Ruden with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Ruden keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ruden throws a hook but Fokin blocks it.
Fokin throws an overhand right that lands on Ruden's shoulder, as Ruden tries to avoid the shot.
Ruden looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ruden uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fokin.
Fokin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ruden fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fokin on the side of the head.
Fokin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ruden in his tracks.

Ruden pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fokin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Ruden can't find room to land a body shot as Fokin controls the action.

Ruden is pressed up against the cage. Fokin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ruden down to the mat. Ruden avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ruden throws a lazy right hand but Fokin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Ruden is controlling Fokin's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Fokin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruden keeps working.

Fokin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ruden can do to turn this around?

Joe Ruden's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joe Ruden's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Georgy Fokin!
A very excited looking Georgy Fokin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
