Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Winston Churchill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viljo Suokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suokas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Limp Bizkit - Break stuff. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Winston Churchill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 28 - 1, fighting out of London, Viljo Suokas!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suokas misses with a hook.
Suokas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Churchill paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Suokas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Churchill tries to circle away but Suokas has him pinned against the cage.
Suokas creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Churchill's defenses.
Churchill definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Churchill wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Churchill is trying to push Suokas away but Suokas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Suokas lands with a left to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Churchill's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Suokas slowing the pace effectively.
Suokas digs a right hand into Churchill's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Churchill's gas tank.
Suokas is looking to control Churchill's arms but Churchill gets an underhook and turns him. Now Suokas has his back to the cage.
Churchill looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Suokas keeps control of Churchill as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suokas lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Churchill letting Suokas take a breather here.
Suokas lands a shoulder strike.
Churchill looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Suokas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Churchill's efforts to push away.
Churchill is trying to force a seperation but Suokas has the dominant position.

Churchill wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Churchill wants to break the clinch but can't.
Churchill fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Suokas lands an elbow just above Churchill 's eye.
Churchill is trying to force a seperation but Suokas has the dominant position.

Churchill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Suokas clinches up against the cage.
Suokas struggles to land a body shot inside as Churchill controls his hands.
Suokas gets through Churchill's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Churchill throws a head punch that misses.
Churchill wants to get back to striking at distance but Suokas won't allow it.

Suokas drops Churchill with a big knee straight up the middle! Churchill is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Churchill is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
An inside leg kick lands from Suokas.
Oh Churchill is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters circling - Churchill throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Churchill misses with a few strikes there.
Suokas feints and then cracks Churchill's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Churchill down.
Churchill swinging wildly here.
Churchill seems to have got his legs back now.
Suokas moves away from the strike by Churchill.
Churchill throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Suokas scores with the left hand. Churchill knows he should have avoided that one.
Viljo Suokas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Suokas moves into the clinch.
Churchill wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Suokas has him pressed against the cage.
Suokas prevents Churchill from breaking the clinch.

Churchill misses with a punch on the inside.
Suokas softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Churchill is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Suokas lands an elbow just above Churchill 's eye.
Suokas dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Churchill swings wildly with an uppercut but Suokas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Churchill blocks a body shot from Suokas.
Suokas unloads an enormous knee to the head! That's knocked Churchill out cold! Holy cow, it was almost as if it lifted Churchill off his feet!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Viljo Suokas!
A determined Viljo Suokas didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
