Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Terry Mcdermott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Donald McTavish!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdermott fails with a takedown attempt.
Mcdermott doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McTavish counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mcdermott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McTavish avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Mcdermott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McTavish misses the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcdermott moves out of range as McTavish strikes.
Mcdermott gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

Mcdermott shoots in looking for a takedown. McTavish tries to sprawl out of it but Mcdermott keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McTavish manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oh Mcdermott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mcdermott shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McTavish defends it nicely.
Mcdermott seems to have got his legs back now.

Mcdermott misses with an uppercut
and McTavish counters with a nice uppercut.
Mcdermott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McTavish paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mcdermott goes for a double leg but McTavish avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McTavish continues to drive forward.
Mcdermott tries to score a power double leg takedown but McTavish sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcdermott somewhat.
McTavish throws out a counter right but Mcdermott avoids it with no problem.
Mcdermott lands a nice shot that snaps McTavish's head back.
Mcdermott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McTavish but McTavish pushes him off and we're back to square one.
McTavish stuffs the takedown.
McTavish looks like he wants to counter punch here.

letting McTavish counter with a right hand.
Mcdermott wants to clinch but McTavish slips to the side
and McTavish counters with a straight right hand.

Mcdermott rushes McTavish and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

McTavish breaks the clinch.
Terry Mcdermott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McTavish lands a nice looking body shot.
Mcdermott closes this distance looking for a takedown but McTavish circles away.
Mcdermott moves to clinch but McTavish breaks away
and McTavish counters with a nice uppercut.
Mcdermott gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and McTavish counters with a nice right hand that sends Mcdermott toppling to the canvas! Mcdermott scrambles and gets back to his feet - can McTavish finish him?!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and McTavish counters with a big right hand! Oh Mcdermott is in trouble here! McTavish follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

An out of breath Donald McTavish thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Terry Mcdermott was interviewed post fight and said 'He was the better man tonight but ill be back better and stronger than ever!! Mark my words!'.
