Landeverde comes to the cage accompanied by Napalm & Erruption- In San Francisco. Ric Landeverde has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landeverde takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Landeverde clobbers Obama with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Landeverde throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Obama doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Obama looks to land a combination. Landeverde sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Landeverde ducks under a wild hook from Obama.
Obama throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Obama tries to bum rush Landeverde with a series of wild strikes but Landeverde uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Obama is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Landeverde dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Obama. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Landeverde was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Obama.

Obama stalks Landeverde and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Landeverde's face. Landeverde staggers backwards, shaken.
Landeverde bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Obama pushes Landeverde away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Landeverde gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Obama is trying to control Landeverde's posture but Landeverde avoids it.

Landeverde tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Landeverde has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Ric Landeverde will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
