PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Chavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rage Kootz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chavo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rico Sauve by Girardo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kootz sprawls well. Kootz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chavo gets slowly back to his feet.
Chavo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kootz moves away.
Chavo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kootz lands a head shot.
Chavo fails to land with a series of punches.
Kootz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Kootz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chavo is looking to work some ground and pound but Kootz has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chavo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kootz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chavo pushes down on Kootz's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Kootz works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kootz looking for a sweep. Not yet Kootz, not yet.
Chavo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kootz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chavo's guard.

Chavo is trying to keep Kootz in close.
Kootz sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Kootz is sitting in close to Chavo's body. Chavo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kootz is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kootz is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Chavo.
