Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Curtis Davis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a body punch but Snuka moves out of range.
Davis tries to bum rush Snuka with a series of wild strikes but Snuka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snuka is trying to stick to Davis's back but Davis is turning into Snuka. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Snuka's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Davis.

Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I was talking to Snuka's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
