Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Georlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan McLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viktor Georlev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jordan McLeod!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLeod swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Georlev changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
McLeod throws a hook but Georlev blocks it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McLeod has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McLeod throws a leg kick but Georlev moved away.
McLeod connects with a leg kick. Georlev looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Georlev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McLeod.
Georlev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McLeod as he avoids it easily.
Georlev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McLeod.
McLeod throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Georlev walks forward, straight into a front kick from McLeod.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Georlev shoots for a takedown but McLeod saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McLeod is looking to chop away at Georlev's legs.
McLeod stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McLeod wants it to stay on the feet.

McLeod swings for the body but Georlev moves out of range.

McLeod throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Georlev sees it coming and avoids it easily.

McLeod jabs Georlev to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McLeod lands with a hook. Georlev tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
McLeod tries to clinch there but Georlev circles away.
Georlev appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
McLeod throws a body punch but Georlev moves out of range.
Georlev takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Georlev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McLeod swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
McLeod waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Georlev.
Georlev tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McLeod manages to circle out of the way.

McLeod lands a jab to Georlev's midsection.
Georlev slips a straight right by McLeod.
Georlev is looking for a counter combo.
Georlev defending well as McLeod loads up on a big left hand.
McLeod connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Georlev momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McLeod throws a jab when Georlev was well out of range.
Georlev tries for a takedown but McLeod sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Georlev shoots in for a double leg but McLeod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McLeod misses with a two punch combination.
Georlev slips a jab from McLeod.
As McLeod looks to move away, Georlev throws a big counter combo bu McLeod just gets out of the way.
McLeod connects with a jab.
Oh Georlev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McLeod connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Georlev's hands.

Nice takedown defense from McLeod. No joy for Georlev on that attempt.

Georlev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Georlev seems to have got his legs back now.
Georlev is breathing heavily.
McLeod holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Georlev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McLeod gets back to full guard.
McLeod lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Georlev looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McLeod passes into side control.
Georlev wants to control but McLeod postures up.
McLeod wants to control but Georlev is keeping him busy.
McLeod looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Georlev is avoiding damage well.

McLeod looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Georlev moves out of range of the leg kick from McLeod.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Georlev.

Georlev is looking for a kimura but McLeod is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Georlev to get the leverage.
McLeod wants to get back to full guard.

Georlev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McLeod is just riding it out for now. Georlev eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Georlev with the ground and pound but McLeod uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Georlev trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but McLeod manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!


McLeod avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McLeod trying to control the position from guard on top but Georlev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Georlev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McLeod pulls his head out easily.
McLeod is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
McLeod can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Georlev is looking to escape.
The referee warns Georlev that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
A nice elbow there by McLeod.
McLeod takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Georlev manages to regain half guard. Good work.

McLeod takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jordan McLeod has got the better of the ground game so far.

McLeod is working for a kimura but Georlev is defending it quite comfortably.
McLeod is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Georlev is looking to control McLeod's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Georlev avoid being mounted?
McLeod is trying to control. Georlev wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McLeod looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McLeod working over Georlev with some ground and pound. Georlev looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Jordan McLeod showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Georlev tries to score a power double leg takedown but McLeod sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Georlev somewhat.
A little jabbing left from McLeod on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Georlev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McLeod lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Georlev shoots in looking for a takedown. McLeod tries to sprawl out of it but Georlev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McLeod manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McLeod throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Georlev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McLeod sprawls well. McLeod wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Georlev gets slowly back to his feet.
McLeod throws out a counter right but Georlev avoids it with no problem.

Georlev is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from McLeod.
McLeod scores with a hook.
McLeod connects with a looping right hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Georlev.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Georlev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Georlev tries to counter with a takedown but McLeod is quick to defend against it.
McLeod pounces like a tiger and cracks Georlev with a vicious hook! Georlev is down but not out! McLeod follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
