The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bear darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Malone is not content to let Bear control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bear in particular looking to stall.
Bear wants to control but Malone is keeping him busy.
Bear moves into full mount! Malone won't be happy about that!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malone is wriggling around trying to escape.

Bear wants to control the pace but Malone is squirming around nicely.
Bear postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Malone looks a forlorn figure.
Malone is working to get back to half guard.
Bear sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Malone felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Bear tries to control but Malone wriggling away.

Bear lands a couple of good shots and Malone has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

It looks like Dennis Malone has been cut.
Will Bear go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Bear is really struggling to control Malone but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Bear has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Malone has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bear has the hooks in. Malone is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Bear passes his arm under Malone's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Malone taps!
