Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fez Pez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Fez Pez enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Caine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fez Pez!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pez.

Caine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Caine trying to control but Pez is working from the bottom.
Caine is really struggling to control Pez but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Pez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Pez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pez tests Caine's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've been hearing reports that Caine has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Pez misses with a looping right.
Caine shoots in looking for a takedown but Pez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Caine's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Pez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Caine stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Caine looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Caine looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Pez is looking for a sweep. Caine is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Caine looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Caine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Caine is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Pez wants to get back to his feet but Caine is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Caine takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Caine throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pez was covering up waiting for the punch and Caine finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Caine will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Caine takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pez misses with a hook.
Caine is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Pez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Caine thinking.

Caine moves away from the strike by Pez.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pez.
Jason Caine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Pez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Caine under the eye.
Caine gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pez counters with a nice uppercut.

Jason Caine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Oh Caine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

enabling Pez to counter with a crisp jab.
Caine seems to have got his legs back now.
Pez lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Caine on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Caine is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pez lands with an uppercut that bounces Caine off the cage and back into range.

Pez has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Caine.

Pez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Caine eats them both and turns towards Pez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Pez has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Pez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fez Pez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Pez lands a left and a right that send Caine crashing to the mat, dazed. Pez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Caine staying out of range there.
A clash of legs there as Caine blocks the low kick.
Caine dives in for a single leg takedown but Pez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Caine shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pez counters with a stiff right hand.
Pez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Pez looks to land a right hand but Caine moved out of range.

Caine closes the distance but Pez moves to the side
and Pez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Caine thinking.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Caine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Caine walks into a jab.
Pez throws a right hand that Caine ducks under and follows up with a left that Caine also avoids with ease.

and Pez scores with a counter punch that sends Caine to the canvas! Pez smells blood - he's punishing Caine with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Caine has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
