Phelps shoots in looking for a takedown but Humming manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Phelps's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Slater Humming seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Phelps is trying hard to land a takedown here. Humming sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Phelps shoots in looking for a takedown. Humming tries to sprawl out of it but Phelps keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Humming manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Humming fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Phelps, pushing him back against the cage.
Phelps breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Humming throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Phelps's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Humming dives in looking to finish as Phelps flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Humming 's strikes! Humming is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Phelps's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Phelps was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
