Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phillip Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joel Tyrone!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clark closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tyrone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Clark throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Clark jumps into guard, dragging Tyrone to the mat.
Tyrone won't allow Clark to sweep him here.
Tyrone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Clark not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clark has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tyrone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Clark bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Clark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Clark decides to stand back up. Clark steps back and let's Tyrone get back to his feet.

and Clark counters with a single leg into guard. Tyrone didn't expect that.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clark is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Clark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Clark is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Clark is working Tyrone over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Tyrone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Clark is in close to Tyrone's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Clark stays in close to Tyrone's body and controls the position.

Clark lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tyrone down.

Clark decides to stand back up. Clark steps back and let's Tyrone get back to his feet.
Clark wants to clinch up but Tyrone keeps it at a distance.

Tyrone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Clark seems keen to control Tyrone's posture.
Clark looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Clark is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tyrone is looking to pass into half guard but Clark pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Clark is in guard.

Tyrone wants to stand and escape but Clark is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Clark keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tyrone's head.
Clark stays in close to Tyrone's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clark jumps guard but Tyrone stands there with Clark around his waist. Clark gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Clark ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Clark no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tyrone is staying active underneath Clark, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Clark, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
