Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cody Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Marks!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Walkers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Marks lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Walker backs up against the cage.
Walker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Walker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Marks misses with a straight left.
Walker dodges the punch combination from Marks.
Walker is looking to counter punch.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Marks.
Jeff Marks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marks connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Marks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Walker.
Walker blocks a jab.
Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marks circles away quickly and effectively.
Walker throws the left hand but Marks avoids the punch easily.
Marks lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marks fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Walker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marks throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Walker on the side of the head.
Walker throws a shot from downtown. Marks moves away and avoids it.
Walker misses with a hook.
Marks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker throws the left hand but Marks avoids the punch easily.
Donk. Marks catches Walker right on the button with a cross.
Walker thows a left - swing and a miss!
It seemed like Marks was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Walker throws a lazy right hand but Marks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Marks lunges at Walker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Walker's hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jab, jab by Marks - just one landing.
Walker walks into a stiff left hand from Marks.
Marks cracks Walker with an open hand slap.
Walker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Marks scores with a punch to the head.
Walker looks to land a right hand but Marks moved out of range.
Marks connects with the punch.
A jab from Marks finds it's way through Walker's defenses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marks tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Marks slips a straight right by Walker.
Marks looks to throw the jab but Walker is out of range.

It looks like Jeff Marks has been cut.
Marks scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Walker throws a hook to the side of Marks's head but Marks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Marks swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Walker.
Walker fails in his attempt to clinch.

Marks uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Walker.
Walker is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Marks's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Walker cracks a nice hook into Marks's ribs.
Marks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walker is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Marks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Walker momentarily.
Marks avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice defenses there by Marks.

Walker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marks.
Marks appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Marks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marks moves out of range as Walker strikes.
Walker looks to land a left hand but Marks moved out of range nicely.
Marks is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Walker had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
