Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Landeskog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landeskog's entrance music is Warm Shadow - Fink. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Magnus Landeskog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adam Ash!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ash tests Landeskog's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ash.
Ash swings for the body but Landeskog moves out of range.
Landeskog throws out a loose jab but Ash uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ash fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Landeskog has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Landeskog connects with a looping right hand.
Ash misses with a straight left.

Landeskog fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ash to the ground. Landeskog is now in Ash's guard.

Ash has his foot on Landeskog's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Landeskog works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Landeskog is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ash is trying to control the position but Landeskog postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Landeskog gets tackled into the cage by Ash. Ash maintains the clinch.

Ash has Landeskog pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ash pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Landeskog tumbling to the mat - Ash dives into Landeskog's guard.

Ash throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Landeskog dodges the ground and pound from Ash.

Ash has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ash works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ash misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Adam Ash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Landeskog's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Landeskog got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ash has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Landeskog has managed to get both his arms back between Ash's legs - danger averted.

The defeated Magnus Landeskog had this to say: 'My mind is not where it's supposed to be. I've been trough a rough time and that has reflected on my recent performances. I was once a 9-2 fighter with a clearly robbed loss on the verge of a title shot and now this is what's left. Pick up the pieces, that's what they say.'.
