The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colon throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Temel to counter with a crisp jab.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Temel.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Temel working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Colon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Temel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horrible takedown attempt by Temel or perhaps it was just good defense by Colon, which made it look bad.

Temel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A head kick from Colon lands but Temel takes it in his stride.

Colon is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Colon engages and cracks Temel with a massive lead left hook - Temel tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Colon is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
