Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvydas Sabonis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez's entrance music is Accept's Balls To The Wall. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Juan Velasquez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Juan Velasquez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sabonis.
Velasquez clobbers Sabonis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Arvydas Sabonis has been cut.
Velasquez lands a jab to the head.
Sabonis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Velasquez throws a leg kick
and Sabonis counters with a slapping leg kick.
Velasquez throws a hook but Sabonis blocks it.
Sabonis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Velasquez takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Juan Velasquez has been cut.
Sabonis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Velasquez tries a head kick but it misses.
Sabonis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Velasquez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sabonis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Velasquez has had enough of the clinch but Sabonis keeps him there for the moment.

Sabonis jumps guard and drags Velasquez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sabonis is looking for a triangle but Velasquez pushes his legs off easily.

Sabonis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Velasquez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Velasquez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Velasquez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Velasquez digs a good hook to Sabonis's body.
Nice defenses there by Sabonis.
Sabonis tries to counter by closing the distance.

Sabonis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Velasquez.
Sabonis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Velasquez throws a sloppy head kick and Sabonis moves out of range easily.

Velasquez takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sabonis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Velasquez throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sabonis.

Velasquez misses with a low kick as Sabonis jumps back.
The fighters circling - Velasquez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sabonis with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Velasquez to score with a decent uppercut.
Sabonis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Velasquez. That did some damage!

Sabonis is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Velasquez like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Velasquez from another fist facial!
