Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cormac Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gutz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Everyday. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Valentine throws a body punch but Gutz moves out of range.
Valentine has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gutz.

Valentine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A jab lands there for Gutz.
Gutz tries to close the distance and clinch but Valentine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Valentine lands a leg kick that knocks Gutz off balance momentarily.

Gutz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Valentine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gutz.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Valentine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Cormac Gutz will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gutz is looking to take a break and control but Valentine is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gutz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Valentine throws a shot from downtown. Gutz moves away and avoids it.
Gutz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gutz wants to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cormac Gutz.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gutz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
