Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Juan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jabber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Juan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Jabber!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juan swings for the body but Jabber moves out of range.
Juan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A lazy left from Jabber finds it's target.

Juan moves into range and clinches up with Jabber.
Juan gets through Jabber's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Juan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Juan lands a nice elbow.
A nice left hand lands by Jabber.
Jabber misses with a hook from the clinch.
Juan blocks an uppercut.
Jabber blocks an uppercut.
Jabber lands with a right to the head.
Juan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Juan lands a hook that snaps the head of Jabber backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A nice left hand lands by Jabber.

Juan tries a body shot but Jabber blocks it.
Jabber on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Juan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jabber is defending well for now.

Jabber gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Juan.
Jabber swings wildly with an uppercut but Juan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jabber has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Juan tries for a takedown. No joy.

Juan is trying to trip Jabber. He has hold of a leg but Jabber is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Juan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Jabber not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jabber trying to keep a closed guard but Juan is proving a slippery customer.
Jabber looking for a sweep. Not yet Jabber, not yet.
Juan is looking to pass into half guard but Jabber pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jabber is in guard.

Juan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Juan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jabber throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Juan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Juan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jabber is one step ahead there.

Juan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Juan is adopting a defensive guard.
Jabber works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Juan wants to improve his position but Jabber is controlling well.
Juan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jabber is working away from the top position though.
Juan tries to get to full guard but Jabber has control of the leg.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Juan moves into full guard.
Jabber is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Juan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Juan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jabber dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Juan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jabber has picked Juan up and slammed him! Juan can't keep hold of the triangle and Jabber manages to pass to side control!
Jabber moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean Juan will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Juan takes the fight into the clinch.
Jabber tries to throw a body punch but Juan avoids it by throwing Jabber back against the cage.
Juan can't find room to land a body shot as Jabber controls the action.
Sean Juan has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Juan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jabber gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jabber doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A short body shot lands from Jabber as the two fighters clinch.
Juan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jabber misses with a short punch on the inside.
Juan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jabber's defenses.
Juan misses with an elbow strike.
Juan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jabber goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Juan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Juan tries to land knees in the clinch but Jabber avoids the damage to the body.
Jabber gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Juan.
Juan works on Jabber's body with a couple of short punches.

Juan cracks Jabber with a nice body shot.
Juan working aggressively here.
Juan has Jabber pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jabber manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jabber breaks from the clinch.
Jabber misses with a few strikes there.
Jabber steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Juan.
Jabber ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Juan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Juan drops his hands momentarily and Jabber takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A jab lands there for Juan.
Juan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Juan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jim Jabber is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Juan misses with a hook.
Jabber throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Juan shoots in looking for a takedown. Jabber tries to sprawl out of it but Juan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jabber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Juan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Juan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Juan moves forwards but Jabber connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Jabber cracks Juan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Juan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jabber finish him?


Juan is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jabber has cracked Juan with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jabber lands another huge swinging hook and Juan tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Juan, before Jabber can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jim Jabber!
A relieved looking Jim Jabber thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
