Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Toni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Cortes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortes shoots for a double leg takedown but Toni sprawls well. He's pushed Cortes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Toni moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Toni tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cortes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cortes lands the left hand.
Toni connects with a solid leg kick.
Cortes is looking to clinch but Toni is avoiding it.
Toni misses with a low kick.
Cortes throws a hook to the side of Toni's head but Toni sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice defenses there by Toni.
An attempted straight right counter from Toni misses the target.
Cortes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Cortes swings widly with a right hand
and Toni makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Cortes's coach down at Elite Fighting Temple was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cortes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Toni throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
We've been told by Toni's head coaches at Elite Fighting Temple that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Toni connects with an inside leg kick.
Cortes throws an overhand right that lands on Toni's shoulder, as Toni tries to avoid the shot.
Toni is looking to slow Cortes down with leg kicks.
Toni lands a head kick. Cortes smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Felipe Cortes has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cortes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Cortes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Toni counters with an inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Toni connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Cortes goes for a double leg but Toni avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Toni continues to drive forward.
Anton Toni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Cortes.
Toni thuds his right hand into Cortes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Toni lands a big head kick that sends Cortes tumbling to the mat! Toni takes a step backwards and waves Cortes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cortes is rocked!

Cortes is still on wobbly legs! Can Toni finish him?
Cortes looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Toni lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cortes's sensitive parts.

Cortes tries to keep at a distance but Toni has taken the fight into the clinch.
Toni lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Cortes to his knees! Toni keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
