PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glynn BT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teller has chosen This Life as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jackson Teller will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Teller!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BT closes this distance looking for a takedown but Teller circles away.
Danga de danga de dang - Teller scores with a four punch combination!

Glynn BT seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Teller closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Teller is trying to maintain a safe position but BT gets an underhook and turns Teller into the cage.
BT tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Teller tries to land knees in the clinch but BT avoids the damage to the body.
BT tries to pull guard but Teller won't allow it.

Teller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Teller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but BT circles away quickly and effectively.
BT throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Teller misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from BT.

BT wants to clinch up but Teller keeps it at a distance.

Teller is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and BT defends well.
BT stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Teller looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! BT has picked Teller up and slammed him! Teller can't keep hold of the triangle and BT manages to pass to side control!

BT decides to stand back up. BT steps back and let's Teller get back to his feet.

BT wants to clinch up but Teller keeps it at a distance.

and Teller counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Teller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Teller raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Teller goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

BT shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than BT was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BT is looking to take a break and control but Teller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

BT tries to stand but Teller is controlling his head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Teller is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Teller's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

BT is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Teller has escaped the position, nice work there.
Teller manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Teller is staying active underneath BT, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Glynn BT will probably get the nod.

Teller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but BT can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

BT got a little sloppy there for a moment and Teller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, BT has managed to get both his arms back between Teller's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jackson Teller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Teller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
