Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dj Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into the arena with WALK BY PANTERA blaring out of the sound system. Dj Sanchez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Piotr Rasputin 's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rasputin tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rasputin to the ground. Rasputin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rasputin shoots in and bounces Sanchez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Sanchez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rasputin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Rasputin is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sanchez jumps into side control!

Rasputin is trying to stick to Sanchez's back but Sanchez is turning into Rasputin . He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rasputin 's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sanchez.

That was a close round but I would say that Dj Sanchez will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
