Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peta Stijakovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabryel Catchmaer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peta Stijakovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabryel Catchmaer!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stijakovic shoots for a takedown but Catchmaer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stijakovic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Catchmaer's waist but Catchmaer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stijakovic off to one side.
Catchmaer punishes Stijakovic's body with a nice straight punch.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Catchmaer and Stijakovic goes tumbling to the canvas! Catchmaer follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


It looks like Peta Stijakovic has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Catchmaer trying to mount his opponent but Stijakovic defends it.
Stijakovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Catchmaer on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Catchmaer in particular looking to stall.

Catchmaer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Catchmaer wants to free his trapped foot but Stijakovic is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Stijakovic blocking the ground and pound attempt from Catchmaer.
Stijakovic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Stijakovic looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Catchmaer stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Catchmaer bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Stijakovic! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Catchmaer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Catchmaer gets to his feet - Stijakovic follows without any prompting.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stijakovic takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Catchmaer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Catchmaer wants to slow Stijakovic down by chopping away at his legs.
Catchmaer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Catchmaer stuffs the takedown attempt from Stijakovic. Stijakovic gets slowly back to his feet.
It seemed like Catchmaer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peta Stijakovic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Catchmaer and Stijakovic goes tumbling to the canvas! Catchmaer follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Catchmaer decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Stijakovic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Catchmaer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Catchmaer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Stijakovic is desperately trying to improve his position but Catchmaer has a good base and remains in mount.
Catchmaer in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Catchmaer lands a heavy elbow.
Catchmaer looking to ground and pound but Stijakovic is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabryel Catchmaer dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Peta Stijakovic's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Catchmaer moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Stijakovic goes down! Can Catchmaer finish him!?
Oh Stijakovic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stijakovic keeping full guard, as Catchmaer tries to pass.
Stijakovic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Stijakovic seems to have got his legs back now.
Catchmaer wants to pass the guard but Stijakovic is keeping the position.
Catchmaer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Catchmaer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Catchmaer working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Catchmaer trying to control but Stijakovic is working from the bottom.

Catchmaer stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Catchmaer waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Stijakovic. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Stijakovic to the canvas! Can he finish him!?


Peta Stijakovic's cut is getting worse.
Gabryel Catchmaer has got the better of the ground game so far.

Catchmaer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stijakovic, up you get!
Catchmaer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stijakovic stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gabryel Catchmaer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crack! Catchmaer connects with the perfect overhand right and Stijakovic falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Catchmaer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gabryel Catchmaer!
Gabryel Catchmaer decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
