Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robo Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pope kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ghost - Monstrance Clock. Robo Pope has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pope looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Reid shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pope as he jumps to the side.
Reid closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pope circles away.
Reid is trying to pull guard but Pope has him pressed against the cage.
Robo Pope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Reid.
Pope tries to break the clinch but Reid is controlling the position.
Reid keeps control of Pope as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Reid keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pope's efforts to push away.
Pope breaks the clinch.
Reid fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pope has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA New York in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reid ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Reid fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Reid changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pope tries to avoid it but Reid manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pope to the ground. Pope escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reid fails to land the takedown.
Reid shoots in but Pope avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reid slips a jab and a cross from Pope.
Reid closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reid lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pope keeping full guard, as Reid tries to pass.
Reid forces his way into half guard.
Pope is not content to let Reid control the position.
Reid with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Pope is refusing to be controlled, as Reid sits in half guard.
Reid works his foot free and advances to mount.
Reid working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Reid working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Pope turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Reid off and cradles Pope's limp body as Reid celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). James Reid!
In defeat, Robo Pope stepped up to the mic, saying 'I hope to be the first MMA fighter to die in the ring. Help make my dream come true.'.
