Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karl Socha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chocolate Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karl Socha could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chocolate Al's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Karl Socha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chocolate Al!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Al is looking to slow Socha down with leg kicks.
Al keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Al tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Al bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Socha's head.
Socha looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Al uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Socha.
Al attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Al shoots in looking for a takedown but Socha manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Al's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Socha moves out of range as Al strikes.
Socha drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Socha throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Socha stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Al.
Al pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Socha back to the cage. Al follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Socha is rocked!

Socha takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Oh Socha is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Al steps into range and cracks Socha with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Socha flops backwards and Al dives into his guard looking to finish!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Al stays in close to Socha's body and controls the position.
Socha has control of Al's left arm, preventing Al from doing any damage.

Al stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Socha swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Socha seems to have got his legs back now.

Socha escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Al gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Socha is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Al seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Al has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A combination from Socha does no damage.
Al comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Al tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Chocolate Al seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Al is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Socha had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Socha fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Al, pushing him back against the cage.

Al struggles to land a body shot inside as Socha controls his hands.

Al tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Al gets control of Socha's arms and successfully pulls guard. Al will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Al has his hands on Socha's head, controlling the position.
Al wants to sweep here but Socha controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Socha throws a leg kick which misses Al's front leg but catches the back leg as Al tries to avoid it.

Al takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Al throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Socha sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It looked like Socha wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Al is still on wobbly legs! Can Socha finish him?

Socha closes the distance looking for a takedown. Al stuffs it but Socha still has hold of him. Socha picks Al up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Socha slams Al to the floor and that's really hurt Al - he doesn't know where he is! Socha throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

After winning the bout, Karl Socha thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
