The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwein moves out of range of the body kick from Stewart.
Schwein scores with a nice body kick.
Schwein cracks a nice hook into Stewart's ribs.
Stewart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stewart closes the distance and clinches up with Schwein, looking for a takedown. Stewart pushes Schwein against the cage but Schwein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stewart falls off balance throwing a combination
and Schwein counters with a stiff right hand.
Schwein misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Stewart scores with a takedown into Schwein's guard.
Stewart is looking to work some ground and pound but Schwein has wrist control.
Stewart seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schwein can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stewart tries to stand but Schwein is controlling his head.
Stewart advances to full mount.
Stewart with a couple of short strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
