Coker remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Falwell is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coker cracks Falwell with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Coker immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Falwell is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Coker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akeen Coker!
Yahweh Falwell spoke after the fight, saying 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
