Simengwa has chosen Afande Sele feat Ditto - Darubini kali as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Cormac Gutz has been attacked by a crazed fan! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simengwa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Simengwa tries to clinch up but Gutz circles away and keeps his distance.

Simengwa rushes Gutz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gutz lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Simengwa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gutz to keep the fight standing.
Gutz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Gutz pushes Simengwa back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gutz struggles to land a body shot inside as Simengwa controls his hands.
Simengwa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Simengwa has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gutz after a bit of a struggle.
Simengwa is trying to drag Gutz to the mat but Gutz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Cormac Gutz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baraka Simengwa.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gutz is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Simengwa trying to control the position but instead, Gutz has worked for underhooks and has pushed Simengwa into the cage.
Gutz lands with a left to the head.

Simengwa jumps guard but Gutz stands there with Simengwa around his waist. Simengwa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gutz creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Simengwa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Simengwa is trying to maintain a safe position but Gutz gets an underhook and turns Simengwa into the cage.
Gutz goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gutz lands a nice shot to the body.
Gutz misses with a body punch.
Gutz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gutz will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Simengwa up against the cage.

Simengwa has picked Gutz up - he's going for a ride! Simengwa dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Simengwa seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Gutz is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
