The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akki stuns Silva with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Silva lands a head shot.
Silva throws a combination that misses
and Akki counters with an inside leg kick.
Silva connects with a looping right hand.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Akki wants to counter the offense by Silva and move into the clinch position.
Silva throws out a loose jab but Akki uses good head movement to avoid it.

Akki takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It seemed like Akki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Akki lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Eduardo Silva has been cut.
Akki doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.

Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Akki throws a shot from downtown. Silva moves away and avoids it.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Akki throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Akki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silva lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

After the fight, Eduardo Silva was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
