The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Blumpkin or perhaps it was just good defense by Ulrich, which made it look bad.
Ulrich takes one to the chin there.
Ulrich manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blumpkin on his heels. He'll look to pass Blumpkin's guard now, I'm sure.
Ulrich has gone for a leg lock! Blumpkin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ulrich's guard.

Blumpkin wants to control from the top but Ulrich keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ulrich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blumpkin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ulrich has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Blumpkin doesn't defend quickly enough and Ulrich has managed to lock this one up! Can Blumpkin escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Ulrich on a fantastic submission victory.
