Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vine comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Old Time Rock 'n' Roll kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Andreas Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Vine!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vine misses with a kick to the body.
Peters really is a fat lump.

Vine forces Peters back against the cage and clinches.
Peters drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A frustrated look appears on Peters's face as he tries to break the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Peters.
Peters letting Vine take a breather here.
Peters has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vine after a bit of a struggle.

Vine lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Vine wants to free his trapped foot but Peters is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vine is thwarting Peters's attempts to control the position.

Vine postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Peters to stand up.

Vine bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vine tries to move to mount but Peters blocks the move with his legs.
Vine misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Peters is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Peters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vine tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The ground and pound from Vine seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Peters gets back to half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Vine thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Peters tries to get to full guard but Vine has control of the leg.

Vine stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vine wants it to stay on the feet.

Vine fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Peters to the ground. Vine is now in Peters's guard.

Vine manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Peters on his heels. He'll look to pass Peters's guard now, I'm sure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Peters wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Vine.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vine thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Peters is squirming around, avoiding Vine's attempts to control the action.
Vine throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Peters is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Peters is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Michael Vine has got the better of the ground game so far.

Vine lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Vine breaks from Peters's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Peters is in all sorts of trouble here.

Vine is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Vine working over Peters with some ground and pound. Peters looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Michael Vine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Vine clinches up against the cage.

Vine pulls Peters into guard.
Vine looking to hit a scissor sweep but Peters is one step ahead there.
Peters has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Peters got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vine has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peters has managed to get both his arms back between Vine's legs - danger averted.
Vine looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Peters has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vine is proving hard to escape from.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Peters wanted to stand there but Vine had control of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Vine cracks Peters with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Andreas Peters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Vine forces Peters back against the cage and clinches.
Peters is trying to push Vine away but Vine has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Vine wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Peters has him pressed against the cage.
Peters wants a takedown but no success here.
Vine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vine has clasped his hands together around Peters's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Vine throws a strike aimed at the side of Peters's head but Peters avoids it well.

Vine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peters, who protects the arm well.

Peters is trying to control Vine's posture but Vine avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vine advances nicely into full mount.
Vine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Peters avoids a series of strikes thrown by Vine.

Peters holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Vine tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Michael Vine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
