The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leer closes the distance and clinches up with Kothciushco, looking for a takedown. Leer pushes Kothciushco against the cage but Kothciushco circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Leer shoots in for a takedown but Kothciushco shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kothciushco lands a jab to the nose.

and Kothciushco counters with a stiff right hand.

A slapping leg kick lands for Kothciushco.

Leer wants to clinch but Kothciushco slips to the side

Kothciushco jabs Leer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Oh Leer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Leer seems to have got his legs back now.

Kothciushco lands a big uppercut and Leer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Leer looks OK. Kothciushco waves Leer back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No luck for Leer with that takedown attempt.
Kothciushco swats away the attempt to clinch by Leer.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kothciushco! But no joy.

Leer is trying to maintain a safe position but Kothciushco gets an underhook and turns Leer into the cage.

Kothciushco knocks out Leer with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Kothciushco before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Kothciushco picks up the big W with a huge KO!
