Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Kaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howlett comes to the cage accompanied by Time of Dying by Three Days Grace. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Kaz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett throws a body shot but no joy.
Kaz only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Howlett takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.


It looks like James Howlett has been cut.
Howlett looks to land a left hand but Kaz moved out of range nicely.
Howlett tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Howlett looks to land a right hand but Kaz moved out of range.
Kaz scoring well with a low kick there.
Kaz looks to land a right hand but Howlett moved out of range.
Howlett throwing a counter right hand but Kaz manages to avoid it.
Howlett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kaz.

Howlett has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kaz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Kaz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Howlett under the eye.

Kaz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Howlett misses with a straight left.
Kaz connects with a right hand. Howlett shakes it off.

Howlett throws a body punch but Kaz moves out of range.
Howlett takes a swing at Kaz's ribcage but misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kaz! But no joy.
Kaz tries to clinch but Howlett moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Howlett.
Kaz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Howlett.
Kaz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Howlett was well out of range. Poor timing from Kaz.
Howlett checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kaz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Howlett. That did some damage!
Kaz delivers a nice body kick.

Kaz has managed to clinch.
Kaz misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kaz creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Howlett's defenses.

Howlett is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kaz to keep the fight standing.

Kaz swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Howlett wants to get back to striking at distance but Kaz won't allow it.
Kaz landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Nice body punch from Kaz - that landed with a thud.
Howlett prevents a body shot from Kaz.
Kaz swings wildly with an uppercut but Howlett uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kaz lands with a left to the head.


Howlett is rocked!

Kaz lands a nice elbow.
Oh Howlett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kaz lands an elbow that stopped Howlett in his tracks for a moment.
Kaz dips a shoulder and cracks Howlett with a mighty uppercut! Howlett falls back against the cage and Kaz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Howlett is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kaz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Kaz!
Max Kaz very nearly forgot to thank Top Dogs amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
